We believe therapy is about relationship.

We are
creating
a new way
01

Through Our Approach

Our focus is on relationship. We recognize that hurt almost always happens in the context of relationship. Therefore, the process of healing must also happen within the context of relationship. We work to meet our clients where they are and engage in the process as directed by the wants and needs of our clients. We believe that having a voice is both a basic human right as well as a human need, and we work to champion everyone’s use of their voice. Throughout this process, we purpose to deliver the most relevant services we can by working to understand the world through the lens of the clients that we serve.

02

With our therapists

Our therapists represent the diversity of the clients and families that we serve. We are highly selective and believe that therapy is an art, cultivated out of the ability to engage in authentic relationship with one another, with our clients, and with our community. Our therapists also offer a variety of specialized training and areas of expertise, including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT); Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT); Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and services designed to support children with Attention Deficit Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Adjustment Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

03

In our community

We love this community, and we are honored to be a part of facilitating the process of healing in the lives of individuals as well as the community as a whole. We are committed to working in the trenches rather than cheering from the sidelines. We recognize the continued effects of generational trauma in our community and are dedicated to being a voice championing equality and healing.

"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." Margaret Wheatley

Services

Community Based Services

Our community based services are comprised of individual, family, and group therapy with clients in community settings that are most convenient and conducive to the clients’ needs. We are continually assessing the needs of our community and striving to be relevant and creative in partnering to meet those needs.

Office Based Services

Our office based services are comprised of individual, family, and group therapy with clients in the context of a confidential office setting.

School Based Services

Our school-based services are comprised of individual, family, and group therapy with clients in schools. We believe that schools are an incredible setting for healing and growth, and we are privileged to partner with a variety of elementary and secondary schools in the area.

A New Way has created A Therapeutic Classroom Model to provide local schools with a space that is strategically designed to give kids from hard places, as well as kids in current crisis, a safe place to begin the healing process.

Let's work together

We are always looking to add new therapists to our team. We are looking for highly relational therapists who are interested in finding A New Way to serve, through authentic engagement with their clients and their community. Therapists that find a home here are exceptional at developing rapport, prepared to go above and beyond in regards to seeing and meeting the needs of their clients and their community, understand and appreciate the great diversity among cultures and the extrinsic value in one’s culture, and recognize the power of helping their clients discover their strengths rather than focusing on their areas of need. We work as a team, and any therapist who joins our team will find extensive training, support, and encouragement as they endeavor to be an agent of change in the lives of the people around them.

We also love the opportunity to partner with local universities to provide internship and practicum opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. Students are placed in one of our Therapeutic Classrooms, providing individual, group, family, and crisis intervention services for clients in a school setting.
